As you all probably know by now, the King of Norway will pay us a visit Wednesday, during the Opening Ceremony and the first part of the very first contest of the week. This is a great opportunity for all of us to show our sport to a greater audience, and to gain a little royal touch to the event! Before the King arrives there will be some security checks that it is good to be aware of, please follow the guidelines from our volunteers and signs before the visit happens, and please respect these.

First floor close at 13:30
The first floor will close at 1:30 pm and will not open again before the King has left. This means all groups participating will enter the warm up-area from outside. No worries – there will be volunteers and signs outside showing the way so no one will get lost! The ones of you that will be watching as part of the audience will enter from 2nd floor.

Do not bring any bags

We ask the audience to please not bring any bags into the contest venue. All bags will have to be checked, and in order to make the queue to get in shorter this is something we very much would like to avoid, so please leave these at your cabin. For the participants in the contest you can leave your bags in marked areas in the warm up-hall.

Doors closing at 15:10

The doors will close for the audience at 15:10 to make sure everyone is seated before the King arrives. Please meet up outside the doors early, so we have enough time to get everyone inside and no one will be left outside.

Have fun!

We’re looking forward to seeing you at the Opening Ceremony, and we are sure you will all have a great time together with us, and of course – the King of Norway! Bring your smile and good vibes, and feel the rhythm of the waves!!

There she meets Johnny (Patrick Swayze), the hotel dance instructor, who is as experienced as Baby is naive. Baby soon becomes Johnny’s pupil in dance and love.
